Clinton Sparks ft. 2 Chainz, Riff Raff, Waka Flocka Flame "Turnt Up"

Some thoughts on "Turnt Up"

  • This song doesn't re-invent the wheel, it just throws 26's on it and straps it to a muscle car controlled by a drunk driver.
  • I can't listen to this song at the gym because I will lift all the weights at once.
  • They can't play this song at a bar because someone will catch a bottle to the back of their head.
  • This song is the logical conclusion of electo-rap that began with "Stronger" and got "trapped" by Lex Luger and Waka on Flockavelli.
  • Both 2 Chainz and Riff Raff body their verses

Check out the track, appearing on Clinton Spark's My Awesome Mixtape 4.

Gucci Mane Twitter Rant

What took place last night was nothing short of astounding, as Gucci Mane took to twitter for hours on end to fire shots at Waka Flocka, Atlantic Records, Nikki Minaj and seemingly anyone else that he felt deserved it. Claiming to have slept with roughly 1/3 of all rappers' significant others, Guwop stumbled through the english language like a drunk crossing an icy street, with Twitter serving as the long line of cars that are sitting idly, waiting for him to finally get to the other side.

'Twas a glorious episode. Long live Gucci. Thank god for Twitter.

A$AP Rocky's (Alleged) Track List

After reviewing the menu--and hours of painstaking deliberation-- I'll have one of everything twice, please. This album looks pretty tasty.

One concern though--the "Pretty Flacko" remix has Gucci (excellent choice), Waka (fantastic decision), and... Pharrell?!? I had such a music boner after the first two, now it's like I'm reliving my high school prom the way that I have a halfy and depression due to shattered dreams.

What, you couldn't get Pusha T on that track, Rock? He was just too busy?! The god damn album has been pushed back 8 months--Pusha couldn't just jump in for one verse in that time period? Just one "Yuachhk"?

I think we all remember the CRS "Us Placers" incident a few years back. Do we really wanna give Pharrell another go? For his own well being, do we want to see him be the worst rapper on a track again? It's setting him up for failure--we gotta pull some Little Miss Sunshine shit right. now.

Honest question--is there like an AARP discount I don't know about that A$AP gets for including his old ass on this album? Because that would be understandable. Otherwise...no.

What's your angle, Pharrell? Do you plan to just falsetto your way through this shit? Is this part of your plan to just phase yourself out completely from my good graces? What gives? I hope you surprise me, sir. I hope you got that Dylan Hot Fire. Please, Pharrell, give me some of that hot fire.

Waka Flocka Flame-Salute Me or Shoot Me 4

Yeah, I downloaded a Waka Flocka Flame mixtape today for the first time cuz, you know, if a random street fight breaks out you wanna have the appropriate soundtrack readily available.

Richard Harrow and Jimmy Darmody woulda blasted this at all times if they knew about it. Seriously.
Mute the Boardwalk video and play some Waka and tell me it doesn't make sense.
