WFNX Sets Date for Death

As reported by my man Music Box Pete, WFNX is bowing out tomorrow night, July 20 at 7 P.M.

After transplanting to New England from Kentucky at the tender age of 16, WFNX was my first gateway to the vibrant indie/alt. music scene of the 00's. To say that the station was responsible for my taste in music would be an understatement; 101.7 was the single most important music outlet of my life. There are not enough beers in the world that I could buy this station to re-pay my debts to it.  I am sad to see it go, especially as it will be turned over to Clear Channel.

I would like to take this time to say, emphatically, FUCK CLEAR CHANNEL. And if your dad works for Clear Channel, FUCK YOUR DAD, TOO.

WFNX, you will be missed. R.I.P., you glorious sonuvabitch.
